Key questions about our design and build process for your sunroom or verandah
The team at Alfresco Innovations have been building sunrooms and verandahs across Wellington for more than 30 years and in that time we've learnt all the ins and outs of the process. Below are some questions that we get asked a lot.
If you have a question that isn't answered here, or you'd like to talk through your plans or get a quote, please get in touch.
Yes. We can discuss your ideas and then create a design sketch for you so you can see what it might look like. Then we'll have accurate plans drawn up before work begins.
Yes. We can deal with the local council to arrange building consent for your project as part of the planning stages. Building consent isn't usually required if you are installing a verandah with open sides.
Yes. Our team offers a full service from design to installation. We'll arrange all the building work required.
Yes, If required we can arrange any other necessary work like plumbing, electrical work or painting. That means you only need to deal with us as your point of contact and we'll sort everything for you.
If you have a verandah or pergola which isn't in great condition then we can usually undertake repairs if the structure is sound. We can also recommend improvements to help you get more use out of it.
We offer both aluminium conservatories and PVC sunrooms. Both have their advantages so it may depend on your personal preference and the style of your home. The main drawback with PVC is that it only comes in white! We can assist you during the initial consultation with which option would be best if you are unsure.
We don't recommend using full glass panels everywhere on your conservatory because it creates a better structure to use solid panels in places and on the roof. Glass can be hard to clean and prone to condensation, and can make the room too hot in summer. However if you do have your heart set on glass we have a range of options we can discuss with you.
Yes. And we are also members of New Zealand Certified Builders. This gives you peace of mind that our work is always of high-quality and that we have safe working practices.
