High-quality materials for sunroom construction that stands the test of time

Many people probably imagine a sunroom totally enclosed in glass but this is no longer the most efficient and modern choice of building material for your entire sunroom.
Instead we recommend using thermal panels or Bondor panels for part of the structure and the roof. These panels retain heat better in winter and stay cool in summer and remove the risk of condensation, providing proper all-season, year-round protection and comfort.
At Alfresco Innovations we prefer to use these recommended materials but if you wish we will work with glass for the entire structure. Clients who opt for glass can choose between tinted, UV protected, noise-insulated glass and Low-E glass (the highest insulated double-glazing glass).
At Alfresco Innovations we like to work in one more aesthetic touch by adding timber wall sections to break up the panels and PVC. The addition of timber looks better and avoids a disjointed appearance.

Benefits of choosing PVC for your sunroom

Both PVC and aluminium sunrooms offer extra space, year-round comfort and are suitable for a range of properties, but choosing PVC for your conservatory does have some extra benefits. PVC provides:
  • superior insulation
  • no condensation
  • larger sections which are more durable
  • a better range of hardware including handles and locks
The one downside to PVC is that is only comes in one colour - white - so it is harder to match to the colour of your home.
If you think PVC is the right choice for your sunroom, get in touch to arrange a quote. We work with homeowners across the Kapiti Coast and down to Porirua and Plimmerton.
